It’s about a 30-minute drive northwest of Washington, D.C. via Clara Barton Parkway, and it’s also within easy reach of the central business districts of Bethesda, MD, and Tysons Corner. Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport is less than 30 minutes from Potomac by car.
Other D.C. suburbs found nearby include McLean, Great Falls, Vienna, and Chevy Chase.

Avid hikers will be excited to take on the local Billy Goat Trail park, with its scenic trails that range from easier to outright challenging. Falls Road Local Park (also known by locals as Hadley Park) provides multiple sports fields and an accessible playground. Potomac has many tennis courts, basketball courts, and athletic fields available to residents.
Westfield Montgomery Mall is less than 10 minutes away by car. Luxury shopping and gourmet dining establishments are conveniently located in Bethesda and Tysons Corner; in particular, Tysons Galleria boasts impressively curated designers, including Gucci, Prada, and Neiman Marcus, and more.
Potomac also has some great food choices in its own right. For example, the Colada Shop Cuban cafe serves coffee, cocktails, and an excellent menu.
